Chicago Burlesque One Day Workshop Saturday | November 16, 2024 | 30th 3:00 - 4:30 pm | 90 mins House of the Lorde | 2233 S Throop St, Suite 502 Minimum 6 participants | Maximum 15 participants In "Unveil the Narrative," discover the art of weaving powerful stories into your burlesque performances. This class focuses on using sensuality, humor, and character work to create captivating narratives that engage your audience from the first strut to the final reveal. You'll learn how to blend movement, expression, and costume dynamics to embody characters, tell compelling stories, and elevate your acts beyond the tease. Whether you're new to burlesque or a seasoned performer, this class will guide you in transforming your performance into a full narrative experience that’s as emotionally engaging as it is visually stunning. PLEASE NOTE: Participants will be requested to arrive 15 mins prior to class to take a rapid test. Tests will be provided. Suede or rubber bottom heels/shoes encouraged but not necessary. All dance levels are welcome. All bodies are welcomed. Two scholarship slots per class are reserved to accommodate Black, Indigenous, People of Color and Queer folks who want to enroll in class but money is a barrier.
