Chicago Burlesque Classes | In the Works Wednesdays w/ Po'Chop February 5 | 6:30-7:45 PM House of the Lorde | 2233 S. Throop Suite 502 Maximum: 12 Participants | Minimum: 5 Participants Po'ography: Intentional Burlesque Movement Join Po'Chop for a choreography-based workshop that draws from over 15 years of experience creating impactful burlesque acts. Po'Chop will guide you through a captivating combination, infused with their signature style that blends storytelling, movement, and burlesque. This workshop invites you to connect deeply with your body and discover what part of yourself is yearning to be celebrated, revealing that through movement. Whether you're a seasoned performer or new to burlesque, you’ll leave with a routine that reflects your unique expression. The class will begin with a warm-up, followed by learning the choreography. This supportive, beginner-friendly class welcomes all identities, skill levels, and abilities. Accommodations and modifications are available to ensure everyone can participate fully. Suede or rubber bottom heels/shoes encouraged but not necessary. Masks must be worn. Two scholarship slots per class are reserved for Black, Indigenous, People of Color, and Queer individuals who may face financial barriers.
