Chicago Burlesque Classes | In the Works Wednesdays w/ Po'Chop April 2 | 6:30 - 7:45 PM House of the Lorde | 2233 S. Throop Suite 502 Maximum: 15 Participants | Minimum: 5 Participants Looking to dip your toes into the artform of burlesque? Have dreams of being dripped in fringe and shimmying under the spotlight? This Burlesque Crash Course is just the thing to get you started. Join renowned burlesque artist, Po'Chop, for a 90 minute crash course that will delve into elements of burlesque. Whether a curious novice or an experienced burlesquer this workshop is sure to leave you oozing with confidence. We'll cover everything from bumps and grinds to shimmies and struts. Class will begin with a warm up and transition into across the floor exercises and culminate with a choreographed dance. All Levels are welcome. Please bring: water, towel, knee pads and rubber or suede bottom heels. No street shoes please. Bare feet/socks are more than welcomed. Attire: wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move and stretch in. Two scholarship slots per class are reserved to accommodate Black, Indigenous, People of Color and Queer folks who want to enroll in class but money is a barrier.
